Our Foundation
Surgenia is the Andalusian Technology Center of Design. A private nonprofit foundation part of the Network of Technological Spaces in Andalusia, promoted by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science.
It is specialized in the integration of design systems in the companies. It develops and promotes in the productive enterprises a R & D + i, based on design, for their optimum introduction in the market.
It offers to the creative industry technology, technical knowledge and R & D + i to contribute to its excellence.

OUR HISTORY
Surgenia was created in Cordoba on the 10th of November 2007. Since its creation it has become one of the main agents of R + D + i based on Andalusian design. During this short space of time, Surgenia has got more than 50 private clients and has worked on a total of 92 projects in sectors such as food, housing, fashion and industrial technology.
In its first year of life, Surgenia got a total turnover of € 3,467,919.14. In 2009 it achieved an increase of 24.64%, reaching a total of € 4,322,599.83.
The forecast for 2010 is to achieve a growth of 3.72%, with a total turnover of € 4,483,179.29. Private incomes of the foundation have risen from 15.79% to 38.28 within three years.
Surgenia activity has achieved, inter alia, that for the first time it was held in Andalusia, on May 5th, 2009, the delivery of the National Design Awards from the hand of the Prince of Asturias.
